Charles H. Nave, P.C. is the law practice of Charlie Nave, Esq., an attorney who specializes in the regulation of charitable solicitations.  

Most of the firm's clients are nonprofits and fundraisers.  The cornerstone of the firm's practice is defending our clients' First Amendment right to solicit charitable contributions.  This includes navigating our clients through the web of federal and state statutes and regulations as well as defending their interests in litigation with regulators when that becomes necessary.  In addition, the firm helps nonprofits with various tasks peculiar to the nonprofit sector: proper incorporation as a nonprofit, securing IRS recognition of tax exempt status, securing and defending nonprofit mail permits, representation in fundraising contracts negotiations, etc.

Because we serve as general corporate counsel for many of our clients, we also have experience in more common legal matters such as employment disputes, contract negotiations and litigation, and collection matters.
